- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -
  • I am thinking of celebrating my wedding or event in Bali. Where do I start?
The first step is to contact us!

Please complete our contact form and we will then email you with an personalised estimated quote based on the information you have provided us. If you are at the very early stages and not sure of a lot of answers that is perfectly fine, just answer what you can. We will organise a call, to chat further and guide you through the whole process!  At the end of the day that is what we are here for.

  • Why do I need a wedding or event planner?
Arranging an event or wedding anywhere in the world has its challenges let alone in Bali!

It can feel difficult and daunting at the early stages due to many reasons.
There can be cultural and language challenges with suppliers, vendors and venues.
Seeing never ending options online and scrolling through instagram can be overwhelming. We will share our local knowledge and past experiences to make sure you choose the right venues and suppliers which is key to ensuring the perfect event!

  • Are there any hidden costs?
When we send you a sample quote, this is very much an estimated cost and will be adjusted based on requirements and confirmations. We generally include more rather than less, so you don’t get a surprise of larger costs later on down the planning road!
We are happy to adjust the quote once you have looked over each detail further.
Villas will charge an additional “Event Fee” & “Banjar Fee” aside from the nightly accommodation rate which can be a surprise to clients.
This covers additional staff for example - to clean bathrooms, extra supplies to have on hand for the large amount of additional guests coming to the event etc.
The Banjar is the “local village or council” of the area. This fee is not as substantial as the event fee.
Both fees are paid on the villa invoice.

  • What is the best time of year to have my event?
June through to September is when the weather is the most consistent generally speaking. July and August usually are not as humid, less chance of rain and slightly cooler in the evening which is most ideal weather for an event. Bearing in mind this is also high season where villas pricing will increase and sometimes minimum stays are longer. From April onwards the weather is traditionally not so humid and hot and this would be the earliest time of year we suggest to book your wedding.
That said of course Bali is a tropical climate therefore we will always have a contingency plan and discuss this with you as your wedding or event approaches so everyone is comfortable and at ease with the contingency plan.

  • Do I need to come to Bali to choose my venue?
Many clients will make the trip to Bali almost as an excuse to get a little holiday out of it as well, so if you are in a position ro do so then why not!
It is not essential to make the trip if you are unable too,  we have a lot of videos of venues in the archives to send to clients to get more of a feel for the venues you are deciding on.
If you do come to Bali we will organise food and cake tastings, site inspection and of course meet us! We would LOVE the opportunity to meet you in person and get to know, plan out all of the finer details and give you the peace of mind.

  • Will you be there on the day?
Most definitely! Our service fee includes at least 4 of us to be there on the day itself.
We are there every step of the way to provide support pre wedding and also being there on site from the very start to the end of your event.  We will ensure that set up and pack down are done according to the villa's standards.

  • How many weddings do we take per year?
We cap our total events at 40 per year, 20 per each senior event planner to manage. We also strategically ensure we will not have two weddings on the same day.

  • How far in advance should I book venues and vendors?
12-18 months is a good amount of time to secure the venue, to ensure you confirm the date you would like.
Depending on which specific suppliers you are looking at, following booking the venue we would suggest securing shortly after these key suppliers -  catering, band, florist, photo / video & hair and make up artist. As some of these suppliers are very popular and we would hate for you to miss out on our favourite suppliers. A 50% deposit is required to confirm each supplier.
